As a teenager she has worked with people such as, Jazzy Jay (Soul Sonic Force), Grand Puba, Charlie Chase (Cold Crush Brothers), Funk Master Wizard Wiz, Romeo JD (Boogie Boys), DNA (DNA HANK LOVE SHOW). She was in a group called the Two Shades of Black (Taffy Tee & Rubie Dee). The two released two songs to mediocre success. As a group they have done shows with, MCLyte, Audio Two, Krs one, Stetsasonic, Cover Girls, Sebastian, just to name a few.

 

She is a conscious poet, on a conscious mission, that sold over 75,000 spoken word CD's on her own since 2000-2006. Virtually, one of the most recognized poets in circulation in New York City. A powerful Black Woman who forces art to place a sobering spell on your reality. There is never a head that is not tuned in when she speaks to an audience. Sista Flame was born and raised in Manhattan NY, Queens, Brooklyn, St. Croix, Florida and Veaqus. She speaks from experience, books, lectures, Internet, research, and people's life struggles. Sista Flame's spoken word poetry is inspirational, educational, highly spiritual, up-lifting, loving, comical realness, etc. She speaks about life in N.Y.C and internationally, dealing with police, the prison system, love relationships, men and women issues, culture, heritage, government system, and culture consciousness. She's HOTT! She's Da Flame! On any street, any street corner, yelling out Poetry, Poetry, Poetry!

  Sista Flame is one of the most recognized spoken word artists from Up-State New York, New York City to Florida. Her knowledge and inspiration is virtually unparalled as far as conscious spoken word is concerned. She is much more than hardcore soul penetrating art. She is an ocean of street wise, Black Woman power. When she grabs the microphone she casts a voice that captivates the audience every night...
